- This guide used to be a useful product—no longer. Many listed agents don’t mention children’s lit at all or, worse, explicitly state they don’t represent it. I’ll be relying solely on online sources from now on.
- Don't believe the title of this book. I'm a children's book author/illustrator looking for an agent. Many of the agent listings in this book specifically say they do not want children's books. Why would they be included? To fill pages and make the reader's job harder? Also, many of the articles have way too many references to the Canadian market. I don't care about the Canadian market. I live I. The United States. I feel ripped off.
- I'm sure writers will find it useful but I returned it since it had very little info for illustrators. I recall the volumes done years ago that had photos of the contributors and samples of artwork that i found interesting and helpful.
- Very helpful 8nformation that will save you a lot of time and guide you well.
